Hola !
Renxkyoko Iglesias here ..
Well, uhm, it’s Valentine’s Day again, huh. So, what can I say about it?
.Are you alone ?
.Have you been friend-zoned ?
Did you let him know of your feelings , but you were rejected?
Alright, I understand. You’re maiden’s feelings have been hurt, big time.
Hey ! HEY ! ! You don’t have to do that !!!!!! You crazy ?
.WTF ! !
.
What a jerk ! You should have done this….
Okay, I don’t suggest you do that. I take it back. You might get sued for assault.
I know it’s hard but get a grip on yourself, mull it over and meanwhile …….
.Are you done ? Well then , let’s move on, shall we ?. We lonesome singles should stick and do stuff together. Let’s be happy in our misery.
You’ll forget, sooner than you think, I guarantee that, and then you’ll laugh it off.
And you’ll wonder, why the heck did I ever get attracted to this guy?
* walks off *
Let’s just watch The Notebook.
.

….just making lonely heart fill with joy, is what I’m doing. Ha ha ha… it ain’t good to mope.

😀 you need to tell us more how this post came about. This is one painstaking project
Posted by renxkyoko on February 11, 2013 at 4:38 pm
Yes, it did take a while to look for the right images, but it wasn’t that painstaking… some of the images I posted were recycled ones.

Ah! me and my pen are in awe of creativity beyond words 😀
Posted by Mooselicker on February 9, 2013 at 11:04 pm
You have such a creative way of expressing yourself. You can be my Valentine if you want. Hmm maybe that would be more upsetting than having no one. But really Ren, be my Valentine?

Okay. Ahahaha !

This made me smile and laugh! Perfectly constructed post in honor of Valentine’s Day coming up. But I will admit, I have no special someone in my life either. It’s always hard when this day comes around, but as you said, we single ladies (and guys) need to stick together. Just have to hope that we will stumble upon the one we are meant for someday. Hang in there! 😉
Posted by renxkyoko on February 10, 2013 at 5:07 pm
* hanging in *
I laughed too when I reread my post * it’s like laughing at my own jokes, he he* Sad.
Happy Valentine’s Day, Simpleek.

This is hilarious. I don’t remember having these kind of emotions during the Valentines when I was single, but I guess it’s different for a guy.
Nice to meet your blog.
Tim
Posted by renxkyoko on February 11, 2013 at 1:54 am
Haha Some women really take it to heart. I don’t. But some really do, especially those whose hearts have recently been broken.
Opposite in Japan. It’s the guys who stress out about V-Day. It’s tradition girls give chocolates to guys.
Posted by jenn on February 11, 2013 at 1:14 am
valentine’s day = ALL CANDY ON SALE ON FEB. 15TH!
aka…fe. 15th is my favorite day of the year. besides maybe nov. 1, when halloween candy goes on sale.
Posted by renxkyoko on February 11, 2013 at 1:50 am
Why guys give candies and chocolates on Valentine’s day, I have no idea. I got a box last year… I gave it to my young cousin. Eh. lol
Posted by jenn on February 11, 2013 at 1:52 am
i got my ex a monogrammed lab coat last year haha.
Posted by renxkyoko on February 11, 2013 at 1:56 am
Oh, that’s so practical. …. *cough* I assume you still have it, and wear it? yep, that’s the idea. Ha ha
Posted by Smaktakula on February 11, 2013 at 3:35 am
Be patient, love will find you. I really do believe that lovable people (and from what I know of you from your writings here, I think you’re lovable) find their mates eventually. I think I’m quite a bit older than you, but when I was in college, I was often attracted to women who were looking for a more mature type of guy (I mean behavior, not age). I didn’t realize that, though, and it wasn’t until I grew up a little that I started meeting potential Mrs. Rights. Now, I’m not saying that maturity is your problem (or that you even HAVE a problem)–but it just might be that the kind of person who’s right for you isn’t ready for you yet (maybe HE needs to grow up), or maybe for whatever reason, you’re not quite ready for the kind of guy you deserve. Or maybe these things don’t even apply to you–I can only offer my experience.
I’ve never liked Valentine’s Day for two reasons. 1) As we can see from your post, it makes people who aren’t in relationships feel weird or wrong. There’s nothing wrong with you. And 2) It makes people who ARE in relationships feel like they have to spend a lot of money. My wife is really cool about that, but there’s still pressure–I don’t want her friends/family to make her feel like she’s settling for less if I DON’T do something big. So it’s a big scam either way.
Anyway, I’m no seer, but I still would bet that yours will be a long life filled with love. Be patient.
Posted by renxkyoko on February 11, 2013 at 4:34 am
Oh, this is deep, Smaktakula. I think you’re right… almost all women like “mature” men, mature in their thinking, I mean. But that’s almost a given, isn’t it? I mean, who likes immature men ? The question though, is, what do we consider mature behavior and immature behavior? I want it to be balanced. I like someone who’s fun and at the same time , responsible… someone who will not run away from responsibility. Oh, guess who’s my type ” now” ( it changes hahah )… Steve Kornacki , host of The Cycle on MSNBC… nerd, nerd. ha ha , and that glasses guy I always see reading a book at the library ( the book is Quantum Physics ) Sheesh. It’s weird coz I also like a long haired musician who’s awesome with guitar and piano.
Posted by JoJo Kelmer on February 11, 2013 at 4:22 am
nice collection of those pics/comics, I’m not sure what to call it but they have pretty much explained your thoughts, absolutely clever idea 🙂
Happy Valentines Day, hope you have a great one!
Posted by renxkyoko on February 11, 2013 at 4:40 am
ha ha They don’t call the genre ” comics” anymore. It’s ” graphic novel”. I was just lucky to get images that were spot on with my narrative.
Oooh, have a great V-day too with your lovey-dove. Cheers !

Posted by TWWK on February 11, 2013 at 8:37 pm
Guh, Valentine’s Day. I dislike it more as a married guy than I did when I was single. 😛
We are going out for sushi at a really fantastic restaurant, though, so I guess that’s a plus! 😀
Hilarious post, by the way – that must’ve taken forever to put together!
Posted by renxkyoko on February 12, 2013 at 3:42 am
LOL, TWWK ! Is it because you’re not wooing her anymore ? I understand though. You’re together everyday, you take care of her everyday, and you get to love her everyday. V-Day is just one of those days, only it has a name. I don’t think my Dad gives anything to Mom either. He he he When they were a newly married couple, I think my dad brought home flowers…. oh, wait, jewelerry ! ! Last year, dad gave her a necklace ! ( I remember that coz I borrowed it from Mom. )
About the images… not really…. It took me just one day to search for the right images.
Posted by TWWK on February 13, 2013 at 4:08 am
Haha, no! I do get her gifts and take her out to dinner! But the holiday definitely is different when you’re married – at least for me. Now, she’s very specific in what she’d like to receive (NO FLOWERS!) and the biggest gift of all isn’t what I give her, but in what I help the kids make. This year, we’re trying to bake her a strawberry cheesecake (good luck to me and my poor baking skills!).
Posted by renxkyoko on February 13, 2013 at 7:02 am
Just loving her is enough, methinks. No flowers ? ha ha . Your wife is practical. That’s food money, TWWK ! ! ! He he. But don’t be like my dad…… like gift wrapping a new toaster.
Posted by TWWK on February 13, 2013 at 4:19 pm
Haha, well, that’s typical of men, I guess. Between me and my wife, I’m the more sentimental one, so that’s not likely.
Posted by StetotheJ on February 12, 2013 at 6:41 pm
So this is how ladies go through life? As a bloke, so therefore devoid of emotions, I stand in awe that you can cope at all.
Posted by renxkyoko on February 13, 2013 at 6:53 am
A man is devoid of emotions? @__@ That figures. I guess Mars is really different from Venus. A woman is emotionally attached, like how a mother is attached to her child. I don’t know. But I can imagine that it must be really, really hard to cope. But it’s not a matter of life and death, is it , so I guess it’s fine to make light of a girl’s broken heart. My folks always say to take a nice long bath, sleep it off, things will get better tomorrow.

Your post made me smile, but then you always do. As for “The Notebook”, it’s one of my favourite films. As to why a lovely girl like you is single, or at least not crowded out with admirers is one of life’s mysteries. Things may be different by this time next year. You deserve the best of men
Posted by renxkyoko on February 15, 2013 at 12:37 am

Great Valentine’s Day entertainment, & relatable. 🙂
Posted by renxkyoko on February 15, 2013 at 12:52 am
I didn’t draw the cartoons, Noeleen. They’re from Japanese graphic novels. I did make the skit, but chose the right images to go with it/ I was lucky I managed to get just the right images for the narrative. It is fun, isn’t it? I’m as amused as you are guys, hahahaha !

Being sad at valentines is not solely being bitter, but it’s just plain sad when you can’t give love and kisses to anyone that special day, right? great post, cuz i love drawing 🙂
Posted by renxkyoko on February 16, 2013 at 12:03 am
You’re right, gengenp. It’s not being bitter, just plain sad. To be honest, I’m quite indifferent. I think this day is overrated and too commercialized. But hey, it’s good for business. I’m all for that.
Posted by Wendell A. Brown on February 16, 2013 at 11:42 am
Your images say it all, nice post, ti was only one day of a life that will embrace many more real and beautiful things! Just stay positive and keep moving forward. The best love is the uncondtional one that comes from genuine friends and the one from family that will only keep blossoming for you everyday, When I was younger I went through many alone, almost gave me a complex! But one day it will get better I promise! God bless always my sister. Your drawings are awesome, you really have some skills! Have a wonderful and blessed weekend!
Posted by renxkyoko on February 17, 2013 at 4:43 pm
Thank you for the nice thouughts, Wendell A. Brown.
By the way, those are not my drawings. I got them from Japanese graphic novels, mangas, that I enjoy reading once in a while. They are so entertaining. I guess I haven’t gotten over my fondness for this stuff since HS, ha ha ha. Uhm, I go for serious reads, too, you know, ha ha ha.
Cheers !

Oh, Rebecca, do you know what my most fav romance movies are, like I’ve watched them a million times already? While You Were Sleeping and Sleepless in Seattle. I’m such a romantic. Ha ha
Posted by ~REBECCA DAWN~ on February 17, 2013 at 9:38 pm
The ones that are on your gravatar. they had your class pic and your pic when you were little..awww
I just finished watching SAVAGES…and it is now my favorite favorite movie. I don’t like blake lively and she played a really dumb ditz in this one, but it was so good. romantic in a weird way. and when it ended I was left wondering..wtf did they get together or what??? I don’t know..
Posted by renxkyoko on February 18, 2013 at 7:06 am
What is Savages about? Is that a romance movie? That’s an odd title for a romantic story, he he.
Gawd, I’m waiting for WWZ, starring Brad Pitt, rebecca. I cannot imagine an A-lister like Brad Pitt will be in a zombie movie. I’ll watch on first day, and I hope I won’t be disappointed .
Posted by ~REBECCA DAWN~ on February 18, 2013 at 7:33 pm
Savages is about two guys, John – Iraq war veteran, and Ben a genius philanthropist, who are in love with O. Ben and John are in the weed business, and make top quality stuff, and the Baha cartel wants their business. When they refuse, O is kidnapped and is used as a bargaining chip to encourage John and Ben to give the cartel their business. Of course John and Ben do everything they can to get her back. the movie is told from O’s point of view. It is kind of romantic, simply because John and Ben have this love for O and they have this great friendship for each other, and they try to stay together forever.
the zombie movie I really want to see, Warm Bodies!!!
Posted by renxkyoko on February 18, 2013 at 9:53 pm
Huh ? Warm Bodies? What’s that ? Tell me, tell meeee !
Posted by ~REBECCA DAWN~ on February 18, 2013 at 10:07 pm
its about this zombie R who starts to feel human again falls in love with a human girl. but the girls father is military, and the father is killing all the zombies. its so cute.
R: this is my best friend. by best friend I mean we stare at each other alot and grunt awkwardly.
lol that is one of my favorite lines from that movie.
Posted by renxkyoko on February 19, 2013 at 6:48 pm
A zombie falls in love with a human girl…. hmmmm… he’s supposed to be dead already…. I wonder if he’s a zombie who takes a bath, and brushes his teeth after eating raw human flesh….. I guess no amount of baths will remove the stench of decaying flesh…. ha ha ha….. this is seriously romantic, he he he…. so, what’s the ending… do they get together , have babies and live happily ever after? ROFL…. I’ll watch it ! ! !
Posted by ~REBECCA DAWN~ on February 19, 2013 at 9:47 pm
I don’t know I haven’t watched it yet, but my friend said it was good. ew gross zombie babies. can you imagine. that is disgusting!!
but apparently in the movie R is turning back into a human..
Posted by renxkyoko on February 27, 2013 at 3:25 pm
Really? Whoah ! That’s interesting. I hope they will explain how the organs are still functioning , he he he.
they fall in love, then ex- zombie turns into a human and a vegetarian , to boot.

oooh, I had one with 139 posts, ha ha !
Nagpapatawa lang ako, Ate. Heartbreak is a serious business, isn’t it? I wouldn’t want to be in her shoes. Mahirap mag move on, di ba? Yung iba. the weak ones, they go crazy and have a breakdown. My Mom told a story about a friend of hers who saw her BF cheating on her at the university. She saw her Bf making out with a girl in his car at the parking lot. Mom heard that her friend just ran around on the school hallways, sobbing like crazy. She was totally shocked by what she had wittnessed. She was brought to the hospital and stayed there for over a week. Mom and her other friends didn’t know how to console her. Well, I don’t know what happened to her after.
Men can be so cruel.
